About Cold-brewed Tea
Traditionally, making teas are always prepared by steeping with hot boiled water to increase the aroma. None the less, cold-brew tea can bring more of the essence out of the tea leaves.
By using cold brewing method to steep tea leaves, the tea not only can quench thirst and eliminate the greasy leavings from your system, but also retain the caffeine and tannic acid within the tea leaves.
Cold water can easily bring out the amino acid (sweetness) from the tea leaves, as well as
eliminates the chance of the tea being over-steep and become bitter when prepared
with hot water. Cold-brewed tea emphasizes the idea of sweet tea (with no added sugar).
Because the caffeine is kept within the leaves, Cold-brewed teas do not stimulate the secretion of stomach acid; therefore, people with sensitive stomach can also carefully enjoy the aroma of cold-brewed tea.
How to Make Cold-brewed Tea
 |
Step 1 -- Prepare premium water;
Prepare premium water to brew a tasteful tea. The purified water from local water store or premium natural mineral water is recommended. |
 |
Step 2 – Storing the tea;
Obtain a container, preferably a bottle with a wide opening for easy tea bag removal.
Put the teabag into the container and retain the tag outside of the bottle so it can be removed easily. Pour in cool or cold water until bottle is full. |
 |
Step 3 – Tea Infusion
Allow the tea bag to be soaked in the water for a period of time. The process takes different amount of time depending on the temperature of the water used.
